An Introduction To iPhone
The introduction of the 3G iPhone to the market comes almost over a year after the original version came into the market. The iPhone 3G has more features compared to its predecessor including a Microsoft Exchange server email, wireless network that is faster and the ability to support various software. This new phone has set new standards for the cell phone manufacturers. The device comes in two models including the 8GB and the 16GB. There are some modifications that have been made to the 3G version like volume which had a buzz in the background previously. The design has not changed much on the front part of the phone except that the silver rim on the phone is less wide and the silver mesh that is on the back of the speaker is so small that you may not even notice it. On the side of the iPhone 3G, the silver coating on the back has been replaced with a plastic one that comes in either black or white. This new version can sustain more rapid 3G data speeds and has better satellite-based positioning systems.
The iPhone was created with assistance from AT&T Mobility for more than two years and the production cost some $150 million. Apple came up with the phone’s software and hardware themselves. The project remained a secret and therefore Apple did not make an application for a permit to start selling the phone until they had made an official statement. The phone was made available to the US market first and later on the UK, Germany, Ireland, France and Austria. This 3G version of the phone is now available in more than 80 regions in the world. There has been an overwhelming demand for the phone in the market because of the many features that it has. Since the introduction of the iPhone there have been about 5.2 million phones sold. This makes the model one of the most popular in the market so far.
