not to be rude but think of it this way…

…an iphone is… pretty much an ipod touch PLUS phone PLUS texting PLUS using routers AND 3G wireless for internet PLUS a built-in mic

yes it will work on the ipod touch… i’ll be surprised if it didn’t

First time I’ve seen a youtube video of a youtube video. Very avant garde. Sweet video and very informative. I’m using a droid phone on Verizon and an app called fring, which allows me to use Skype over both wifi and the 3G network, so I’m not using any cell minutes to make calls, plus I can place calls anywhere in the world where there is wifi with no roaming. Yes, I have to pay for my Skype calls to non-Skype numbers, but it’s pretty cheap.

are you shore its free to call people and is it free with the network orange??
    thanks

It is only not 100% free on ATT. This app uses your minutes from your plan, but long distance and international are cheap/free. You can still use it on ATT but it counts against your minutes.

If you hack your phone for use with T-Mobile you can set GV as one of your 5 free numbers thus getting free calls.

Since this video was made ATT has introduced a similar option called A-List if you have a individual plan $60+ or family $90+ you can set GV as a free number and thus get free calls.

I use Google voice on my iphone and it works great.
I have a question and maybe you know the answer.
When I receive a sms with google voice, the sms appears on my iphone as a normal sms.
my question is:do I pay the sms if I reply directly from the iphone without using the gv app?
    Thank you

i got 10 google voice invites left ill sell them for $5 each. message me

  22. Comment by TFouster — January 28, 2010 @ 11:34 pm

It doesn’t take that long for the invite to be sent once you sign up -.- . Besides, wouldn’t we have to use the google accounts YOU made?

  23. Comment by kbonthebeat — January 28, 2010 @ 11:54 pm

@TFouster no its invites so u pick your number and all of that

  24. Comment by TFouster — January 30, 2010 @ 5:29 am

I meant the google account you use to log in to the Google Voice Service. You request invites through your email so you shouldn’t be able to transfer invites. I know about the picking your own number out of the list of ones they give you >_>. Besides after you sign up to get an invite, it doesn’t take long for an email to come saying “You’ve been invited to Google Mail”.
